Shopping Center Business Highlights M+A Architects Efforts At Sustainability in Design

M+A Architects, a full-service architectural firm based in Dublin, Ohio was featured in July’s Shopping Center Business, highlighting its exceptional initiative to take the economic slump as an opportunity to reevaluate the effectiveness of existing strategies and restructure future plans accordingly. Of great consideration, and also the topic of the July article, was M+A’s shift to prioritizing sustainability in design.

Firm Principal John Eymann commented on M+A’s shift to incorporating the green mentality into forthcoming projects: “We are in the midst of a fundamental shift in thinking. They may not realize it yet, but this is an exciting time for everyone in real estate development. We are smarter. We are leaner. And, we are finally starting to realize that making a real commitment to sustainability is not just the right thing to do; it’s the smart thing to do.” The article draws particular attention to the long-term cost-savings associated with sustainable building, detracting from the initial reluctance many architectural companies experience when considering the upfront investment of green design.
