Alan Ackerman on WJR’s Frank Beckmann Show

Alan T. Ackerman, managing partner of Michigan-based Ackerman Ackerman & Dynkowski P.C., recently joined Frank Beckmann on WJR to discuss Mayor Dave Bing’s plan to “shrink” Detroit. Should this vision become a reality, residents and businesses would be relocated, involving issues of condemnation and eminent domain.

As a nationally recognized eminent domain attorney, Alan provided valuable insight regarding the constitutional right of the government to take over abandoned buildings and relocate the people living in those dilapidated areas. He discusses the issue in terms of public safety, not economics, and explains how Detroit residents will benefit from consolidated public resources and security.

Bloomfield Hills-based Ackerman Ackerman & Dynkowski is a condemnation and eminent domain law firm that exclusively represents landowners. Since the early 1940’s, the firm has helped property owners collect hundreds of millions of dollars in fair compensation from settlements, mediation and jury verdicts related to property takings.
