how we generate publicity DDG Makes the Cover of Urban Land03.01.07 Development Design Group was featured on the cover of the January issue of Urban Land, a real estate trade publication published by the Urban Land Institute. The featured article, “The Great Mall of China,” examines design principles and practices that Asian retail centers are borrowing from the traditional American mall model. Authored by DDG Vice President Ahsin Rahseed, the eight-page article focuses on Pondok Indah, a mall in Jakarta, Indonesia, designed by DDG—an image of which is the magazine’s cover art. This marks the second time in 2006 that DDG’s work has graced the cover of this important and widely read publication. In Urban Land’s March issue, the cover featured DDG project Plaza San Marino in Guayaquil, Ecuador, a mixed-use development that is largely credited with helping to transform the region’s economy into a vibrant commerce center and tourist destination.
