The San Antonio Business Journal interviewed K Partners’ CEO Walt Myers for a profile piece discussing the company’s aggressive growth plans amid the tough hospitality market. Myers sat down with reporter Scott Bailey to discuss his plans to double the size of the K Partners portfolio over the next few years.

The story also discussed that K Partners’ plans required careful consideration of the markets it ventures into, and a focus on secondary and tertiary markets that are faring better than many large markets. The business journal cover story went on to be a featured piece on all bizjournal.com regional publication Web sites.

K Partners Hospitality Group, LP specializes in the development, construction, management and operation of hotel properties throughout the United States. K Partners has built, owned and operated 20 hotels since its inception and has forged relationships with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Hilton, Marriott and Intercontinental Hotels. Primed for substantial growth in the next few years, the company currently operates a portfolio of 15 hotels. The company also has nine hotels currently under construction and plans to have approximately 30 hotels by the end of 2009 and 35-40 by the end of 2010.
