NWA to expand global flights

In October, Identity Marketing & Public Relations partnered with Northwest

Airlines to orchestrate a media event celebrating the delivery of its 32nd and final Airbus A330 aircraft. The event took place on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and featured remarks from NWA Executive Vice President Neal Cohen. Local media were invited to attend a press conference announcing the delivery of the final Airbus A330 and given the opportunity to tour the aircraft.

The final Airbus is part of Northwest's $6 billion fleet renewal investment over five years. The group of 32 new aircraft is part of the airline's plan to double its international fleet by 2010.

Identity secured print coverage of the event in The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press. Additionally, news crews from each of the local network stations attended and stories appeared on their afternoon and evening newscasts. Their stories detailed the amenities and transatlantic capabilities of the complete Northwest Airlines Airbus A330 fleet.
